Granadilla

Scientific name: Passiflora ligularis

The passion fruit is a small, round fruit, it has a sweet and acidic flavor at the same time, with a fragrant and tropical aroma.

Its pulp is gelatinous and transparent, with numerous small black seeds. It is a good source of vitamin A, vitamin C, fiber and antioxidants. It also contains minerals such as potassium, calcium and iron.

It is consumed fresh, either alone or as an ingredient in juices, smoothies, ice creams and desserts. It is also used to prepare jams, jellies and other food products.
